CRA Short code descriptions
Licensed Collision Repairer (LCR)
Panelbeater/Refinish Centres that engage in structural collision repair work by having the required equipment to undertake three dimensional measuring of a vehicle and/or a spray booth oven facility. They also attain the required points to complete the ‘Continuing Compulsory Annual Retraining’ (C-CAR) Programme.
Panelbeating/Spraypainting (P&S)
Panelbeaters and spraypainters who meet our membership criteria and engage in most repair work however may not have three dimensional measuring equipment to meet the Licensed Collision Repairer category.
Plastic Repairs (PR)
Companies that repair products manufactured from plastic. This includes automotive bumpers and all other plastic parts and products.
Motor Trimmer (MT)
Companies that manufacture and repair interior automotive upholstery, window mechanisms, windscreen replacement, convertible and all fabric refurbishing.
Coach Builder (CB)
Companies that build buses, coaches, motorhomes, horse floats, ambulances, truck bodies and purpose built vehicle bodies.
Radiator Repairs (RR)
Companies that repair and manufacture vehicle radiators including purpose built assemblies.
Associate Members (AS)
Companies that supply goods and/or services or are associated to the collision repair industry eg. motor manufacturers.
Structural Repair Code of Practice (COP)
Collision repair businesses that have signed up to the Structural Repair Code of Practice (COP), recognise the importance of appropriately trained staff using the correct equipment and recommended procedures to perform safe, quality repairs. A documented and fully auditable record of repair with technician sign off ensures compliance with the COP.
Holden Approved Repairer (HAR)
CRA & Holden NZ have formed a partnership to provide the motoring public with a network of repairers who have met exacting standards in training, equipment levels and shop presentation. If you are a Holden driver choose from one of these repairers.
Hyundai Recommended Structural Repairer (HRSR)
CRA & Hyundai New Zealand have agreed on benchmark standards for equipment, training and business presentation. Hyundai owners should chose one of these repairers for all collision repairs.
Mazda Approved Collision Repairer (MACR)
CRA & Mazda NZ have agreed on benchmark standards for equipment, training and business presentation. Mazda owners can confidently choose one of these repairers for all collision repairs.
Suzuki Authorised Collision Repairer (SACR)
CRA & Suzuki NZ have cemented a relationship to ensure that Suzuki owners have access to a network of Structural Repair Centres specifically trained to repair Suzuki vehicles.
Mitsubishi Authorised Collision Repair Centre (MACRC)
CRA & Mitsubishi Motors NZ have agreed on benchmark standards for equipment, training and business presentation. Mitsubishi owners should choose one of these repairers for all collision repairs.
Honda Authorised Collision Repair Centre (HACRC)
CRA & Honda New Zealand have agreed on benchmark standards for equipment, training and business presentation. Honda owners should choose one of these repairers for all collision repairs.

Companies that can offer their customers the added security of the CRA Guarantee.
